Privacy overview

This overview covers NeuroPace (bundle ID uc.NeuroPace, App Store ID 6758914610), FoodSteps (bundle ID uc.foodm8, App Store ID 6760141147), and Unchaos Life: Daily Health (bundle ID uc.unchaos.life, App Store ID 6821078288). No unchaos account is required to use the apps. Existing disclosures for legacy StrainFlow versions are retained in a separate section below.

These three apps do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs. Their App Store privacy disclosures classify Health data as linked to the user for App Functionality and declare that the apps do not track. “Linked to you” is an App Store privacy category; it does not mean that an unchaos account is created.

Compatible current versions of all three apps use the Apple app group group.uc.m8 to share the adult journal and Kids profiles, records, and photos on the same device. This lets each app show the same records and all available dashboard widgets while keeping its own focused defaults and branding.

This is not a cloud-sync service and does not move records between devices. Removing one app does not guarantee that shared data is erased while another compatible app remains installed. Uninstalling also does not erase exported files or data retained in operating-system backups.

Manual meal logging remains available without AI analysis. If a user chooses meal-text analysis and gives consent, only the selected meal description is sent to OpenAI for that request. The text is not automatically anonymized, so users should avoid including names or other identifying information.

Apple Health data, Kids records, and Kids photos are not automatically included in a meal-analysis request. Under OpenAI's standard API abuse-monitoring practices, submitted content may be retained for up to 30 days, subject to documented security or legal exceptions.

Depending on the feature a user enables, the apps can request access to Apple Health, Screen Time, and Location & Weather. HealthKit data is read and processed on the device under Apple's permission model. Location requests used with Apple WeatherKit or MapKit involve Apple services and therefore are not wholly offline. Access is optional and can be managed in device settings.

The apps do not send the shared adult journal, HealthKit imports, Screen Time records, location history, or Kids records and photos to an unchaos server. Revoking a permission stops the related future access, but it does not by itself remove records already imported into shared storage.

In Adult Data, deleting a selected section removes the current manual entries for that section from shared storage. It does not remove automatically imported records or configured connections, and it does not affect CSV export files created earlier. Imports, connections, and exported files must be managed separately.

unchaos does not hold the shared on-device journal as account data and therefore cannot delete it remotely. Contact us if you need help identifying the relevant on-device controls.

The Delete Kid action removes the active shared profile, all entries associated with that profile, and its shared photo. If photo cleanup is interrupted, the apps retry it. Small UUID and timestamp markers remain so deleted or migrated content is not imported again.

When older private Kids data is migrated into shared storage, the original private stores and photos are retained and are not erased by Delete Kid; there is currently no in-app control for purging those original copies. A temporary SQLite backup used during migration is a migration safeguard, not an ongoing backup service. No uninstall action should be treated as a guarantee that shared data, exports, original migration copies, or operating-system backups are erased.

The following existing disclosures are retained for legacy StrainFlow versions. The three-app Kids migration and deletion details above do not describe StrainFlow's controls.

StrainFlow processes personal inputs on the device and does not send health, activity, meal, check-in, Screen Time, or location records to an unchaos server. It does not use advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.

StrainFlow can read Apple Health workouts and routes, workout effort, activity and energy, distance, sleep, heart and respiratory metrics, oxygen saturation, body measurements, and time in daylight. Access is optional and is controlled through Apple's permission screens and device settings.

StrainFlow stores imported and user-entered records in an on-device Apple app-group container shared with compatible unchaos companion apps. Removing only StrainFlow may leave shared records available to another companion app that remains installed. Revoking access stops future access but does not delete copies already stored on the device.

StrainFlow supports deleting individual readiness entries and workout assessments, but it does not provide one control that deletes every imported or shared record. Because unchaos does not receive this app data, it cannot delete it remotely. Contact us for help identifying the appropriate on-device deletion steps.

App purchases, trial eligibility, subscription status, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are processed by Apple through the App Store. unchaos does not receive payment-card details. Apple's privacy terms apply to the information Apple processes for those services.
